The Jungle Book Kids, Summer 2011
Welcome

WaterTower Theatre is proud to offer a diverse range of educational opportunities for students of all ages. Please select from the following programs to learn more about educational opportunities from WaterTower Theatre.

Summer Performing Arts Conservatory

WaterTower Theatre's two week, fun-filled Summer Conservatory will introduce your 6-18 year-olds to others who share their love of acting, singing and dancing!  It's a wonderful experience for children and teens!

This year's Camp is June 17-28.

The Camp will include students working on a production of Disney's Alice in Wonderland Jr.

At the Summer Performing Arts Conservatory, go beyond the traditional idea of a summer camp with a unique, non-competitive, nurturing program that caters to students who want to immerse themselves in all aspects of theatre arts.

Our classes, taught by highly skilled professionals, offer an intimate classroom setting - guaranteeing that each student receives the individual attention necessary to learn theatre skills as well as life skills - confidence, self-esteem and a love of creativity.

Classes for younger participants include acting, audition technique, dance, voice, and art.

Older children will explore techniques in scene study, playwriting, Shakespeare, improvisation, stage make-up, musical theatre, dance, costume design, voice, audition technique, and film.

Each session culminates in a production for family and friends highlighting skills and techniques acquired during classes.

Scholarships and payment plans available.

Master Classes

WTT Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin leads classes in the Meisner Technique for area actors. The Meisner Technique provides a step-by-step technical approach to the problems the actor faces in presenting the subtleties and delicate complexities of human emotional relationships and situations inherent in a playwright's text. The 12-week program meets once per week. Martin trained under both Sanford Meisner and Meisner protégé Fred Kareman before relocating to Dallas.

Following selected performances, you can join members of the cast and artistic team for a question and answer session about the show and the production process.
